Yukina Shirahane is visiting her [[Hiromi Shirahane|mother's]] workplace, UN Kurobe Laboratory, and is touring one of the research areas while waiting for her mother. She is shown the "black relic", a large dark [[cube]] of unknown origin discovered along with the original artifact, a giant humanoid mechanical robot. When the the lab is attacked from the sky, the research room is hit by an explosion which knocks most of the workers and Yukina to the ground. In her disorientation, she places her hand on the large cube which causes it to activate and open while an [[Cactus|alien robotic invader]] appears in the room. To the shock of Yukina, out of the cube emerges a naked [[Kennosuke Tokisada Ouma]] armed with a strange katana. Though naked, he fights off and disables the alien robot. Intro

During the construction of the Kurobe Dam, an ancient artifact was discovered, and so the United Nations Kurobe Research Institute was established. Intellectuals from all over the world gathered to study the object, and the children of those researchers attend Tateyama International Senior High School, including the institute head's daughter, Yukina Shirahane.
In the summer of 2016, a lone samurai once again awakens.[1]
